Accessibility Statement
US Insurance Guide commitment to digital accessibility and how to request accommodation or report barriers.
US Insurance Guide is committed to making our website accessible and usable for as many people as possible. We aim to follow generally recognized accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 AA and WCAG 2.2 AA where practical.
This statement describes our ongoing accessibility efforts. It is not a guarantee of full compliance with any specific law or standard.
Our Approach
We treat accessibility as an ongoing operational priority — not a one-time checklist. Our team performs periodic reviews using a combination of automated scanning tools and manual keyboard and screen-reader testing.

Measures We Support
We work to ensure that visitors can:
- Navigate the site using a keyboard (Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter, Escape, and arrow keys where applicable)
- See a visible focus indicator on interactive elements
- Use the site with common assistive technologies, including screen readers
- Perceive text with sufficient color contrast on primary content
- Skip repeated navigation to reach main content quickly
Compatibility
This site is designed to work with current versions of major browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) and common assistive technologies. Older browsers may not support all accessibility features.
Known Limitations
We are aware of the following limitations and are working to address them:
- Third-party partner websites: Links to insurance partners and government resources may open in a new browser tab and are outside our direct control.
- Display advertising: When enabled, third-party ad units may not meet the same accessibility standards as our editorial content.
- City-level guides: Some local guide pages are placeholders while content is in development.
- PDF sources: Some linked government publications are PDF files; accessibility of those documents depends on the publishing agency.

Formal Complaints
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may email contact@usinsuranceguide.com again with "Accessibility Escalation" in the subject line. We will review escalated requests with priority.
Technical Standards
This statement applies to content published at usinsuranceguide.com. We continue to improve accessibility as the site grows and content is updated.
Assessment Methods
Our reviews include:
- Automated scans (axe-core / Lighthouse accessibility audits)
- Manual keyboard-only navigation testing
- Code review for semantic HTML, ARIA attributes, form labels, and focus management
- Periodic content review for plain language and heading structure
A baseline audit report is maintained internally and updated after significant site changes.
